Why can't I close my open order?

Here are a few points to keep in mind

Closing orders when markets are closed

If you attempt to close an order during weekends or the daily break of a trading instrument, the order won't close until the market reopens.

To address this, wait for the market to reopen, and then attempt to close the order.

Visual glitches and/or connection issues

There might be instances where visual glitches or connection problems give the impression that an open order isn't closing.

To fix this, fully close and reopen your trading terminal, then check whether the order remains open.

Hedged orders

Hedged orders can sometimes prevent closure due to high margin requirements. When you close one side of a hedged order, it can cause the remaining order to be treated as reopened. Upon recalculating the margin for the remaining order, insufficient free margin might prevent its closure.

To resolve this, ensure you have enough free margin before trying to close the order again.
